Why we should buy music – even in the digital era (especially DJs)

I remember my first encounter with MP3s. A classmate told me, that now you can fit 11 albums on 1 CD! Such a claim was cause for suspicion, and the data storage media itself seemed strange. Then fast-forward the tape, and we find ourselves in the age of digital information. Many of those who have experienced the change of formats and attitudes towards music tend to swear about it. From the series: “The Grass Used to Be Greener, and the Sky Bluer.”

Although I have considered myself a professional DJ since receiving money for mixing the first time in 2001, I only recently formed my personal opinion about the digitization and sharing of recordings. It didn’t happen overnight, but was the result of many events, one leading to another.
